Seems like the rainy season has come and its raining quite heavily.
The open camopus for uni is coming up and a lot of people in musabi are becoming active.
And with that, students are doing a lot of performing arts around lunch time such as becoming bold in groups and walking around school.
Which was quite scary as bold men kind of represent mafias over here.
Maybe thats my descrimination...haha
Well, all fine over here. I have a lot of company to keep me active and not be alone so I don't really feel lonely anymore. More than that I actually have to make "Me" time as I'm constantly surrounded by people.
But being surrounded by people makes you think.
Like, I'm re-thinking of coolness. I used to think people who wear fancy clothes and hair are very cool but now, I don't quite think like that. Because, boys in my uni, tries to look natural and not obviously calculated as possible. So they TRY not to look as if they took 40minutes to decide on which clothes to wear. But what I think is that because they look too natural they look artificial.
So they very obviously look cool. Not in a quiet and elegant way. What's more is that because they look heavily-made-up they look beyond who they are. The person who is wearing that fancy Ralph Lauren jacket is not in the same point as their jackets. Strange but this thought has been going through my mind all day since 3days ago.
Now better work!

Mmm, deep. I guess you are basically saying if your content (which is also a bit hard to define, what is it after all?) doesn't match the gorgeous clothes and fashion you are in, somehow the whole being does not come together. It is like seeing a person with an Hermes bag shopping madly in a Uniqlo shop - it does not match. It is not cool.

ReplyDeleteUma shika,
ReplyDeleteYour comments are interesting. But it is only natural for design students to be conscious of what wear since they have to naturally be concerned with colour, texture, style and combinations of all of those. It is self-expression. To look at it another way, it is difficult for most people to dress in styles that they are not comfortable with. You just be yourself- an uma shika and you'll be fine!
